Unexpected Sources

Scripture

“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Exodus 3:5

Observation

Like with a burning bush, God may use unexpected sources when communicating to us too, whether people, thoughts, or experiences. Be willing to investigate and be open to God’s surprises. Moses showed respect and reverence when talking with God. He also felt inadequate to be of service to God. He was by himself but could do anything that God gave him to do and God said, “I will be with you”. What more could you want?

Application

Our God is a God who acts and speaks. If you are trying to tell others about God, talk about what he has done in your life, or for people you know, or for people whose stories are told in the Bible.

Prayer

“God you are awesome. Help me to see you communicating with me in any form you choose. Help me always come to you with respect and reverence. Help me know more about you and to be bold when I tell others what you have done for me. In Jesus Name, Amen.”
